Last day, July 20.

Day 6 July 20th. Up at 5 am. Folded up camp. Had coffee & bars then headed out at 6am. Had to climb our way out the Opie Dilldock pass, up 600 ft. Lots of lava and cut backs. Pretty steep in places. The views were awesome. Down the other side to Scott trail. Around 9:30 we stopped to eat and drink. More up and down to Scott pass. Down and out to trailhead at Lava camp, 11:50. 8.5 miles in 6 hours. We could almost smell the burger and fries. Like I said before I will be getting some yoga tapes, these gals are awesome.  I think i will lose my toe nail, so much down hill.    WOW we did it. 11+ miles on the McKenzie, and 48+ miles on the Three Sisters Wilderness Loop.

Day 5 July 19.   Woke up at 6. Bath time, haha, with baby wipes. Cleaned up camp, took down tents, made breakfast, filled water bottles and loaded up our gear and headed out from Mesa Creek at 8:45. Next destination, Obsidian Creek. We stayed left on PCT, Linton Meadow trail. ONLY a 900 ft. elevation change, UP. Passed Sister Creek. Started to see the volcanic glass ( black obsidian). Mountain of it. Stopped at Obsidian Creek for a while, had lunch and soaked our blistered feet. Then on to Glacier Creek, elevation 6400 ft. Almost 10 miles today. Busy place, two tents already set up. We choose to camp near the creek. No Tents! Tarp and sleeping bags. More people came to camp, and lots of backpackers hiked by. Most couldn't believe we were going to sleep under the stars. We had a yoga class, did some stretching. Then dinner, doctered up our blisters with mole skin and duck tape then off to bed at 8:15. We decided to get up early, so we could have lunch in Sisters. Set alarm for 5am. Only 8.5 miles to go.

Day 4 July 18th.   Everyone is awake by 6. Still cold and windy. We are stiff and sore.  Ate, cleaned up camp, filled water bottles and headed out at 9:15. Down the Green lakes trail. 2.5 miles of up and down to Moraine Lake. Since I've been trailing most of the time, I decide to take the lead. It only lasted til we  started down hill. I had to baby my knee.  Lots of ascending and descenting. Had to turn on Fall Creek trail, to climb up to the lake. 6500 ft. Wow, Moraine lake is gorgeous. I jumped in, pretty cold... We ate lunch by the lake. There must have been 50 people there. Hard to believe, that many people hiked in there in one day. We left the lake, hiked in the hot sun, to Mesa Creek. Down 1000 ft. Hard on the knees and toes. Hottest day yet. By the time we arrived at camp, we all had blisters. 11 hard miles... I took off my pack and curled up beside it and fell asleep. Woke up, and couldn't believe I slept. All of us soaked our blistered feet in the ice cold creek. Peppered steak for dinner. In tents at 8:30. (I was first again). Warm night, lots of bugs. 29.5 total miles. 18.5 to go.
